Abstract

Endocrinology is a subdiscipline considered one of the most difficult topics for students to understand. Endocrinology can be easier to learn by applying learning strategies that support problem-solving activities or conducting an experiment (practicum), such as by integrating bioinformatics. Bioinformatics can be delivered through digital-based learning media such as electronic modules. This study aims to determine the feasibility and practicality of using electronic modules based on bioinformatics as an educational tool in teaching endocrinology. The research participants involved experts (material, media, and language experts), lecturers, and students. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The findings showed that electronic modules based on bioinformatics are feasible and practical for use as educational tools in teaching endocrinology. This study implies that electronic modules based on bioinformatics can be a suitable learning media to support the learning process and become a learning media that can facilitate students to learn independently in endocrinology courses.
