Abstract

The discussion in this chapter is broken down into two parts: the first deals with glaciation in the North Atlantic as revealed in the data obtained on Leg 12; in the second part an attempt is made to provide a chronologic framework of Late Pliocene-Pleistocene glaciation and to correlate gla- cial/interglacial sequences as recorded in land and deep-sea sediments
