Abstract
Psychoanalysis has an ethical value. It involves, as Freud used to say, « consequencies for Ethic ». But psychoanalysis is not a philosophy ; it is impossible to build an ethic on it. Psychoanalysts have ethical rules and guidelines in their clinical practise. On these points, Freud, Dolto and Lacan think in different ways. But they all agree on the importance of ethic on the issue of transference.
