PERBANDINGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBER HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) DAN TIPE JIGSAW TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR KIMIA SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 6 KOTA BENGKULU

Abstract

This study aims to see the differences in chemistry learning outcomes of students who apply cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) and Jigsaw types on the subject of basic chemical law in class X MIPA SMAN 06 Kota Bengkulu. The study was conducted in March-July 2019 in the academic year 2018/2019. This type of research is Quasi research experiments. The population of this study was all students of class X MIPA which amounted to 131 students. Sampling was carried out after normality and homogeneity tests. After testing its normality and homogeneity, the sample is determined by random sampling techniques of two classes. The experimental class I is class X MIPA C, amounting to 33 students applying the cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) while the experimental class II is class X MIPA B, amounting to 32 students applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. Student learning outcomes data obtained from the value of pre-test and post-test and data processed using normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with a significant level of 0.05. The results of the study in general, the two learning models applied proved to be able to improve student learning outcomes and have reached the KKM value standard of 75. Classes that apply cooperative learning models Number Head Together (NHT) type have higher learning outcomes than classes that apply learning models Jigsaw cooperative type. The average value of post-test experimental class I and experiment II is 85.63 and 80.60 which means that the post-test value has reached the KKM value standard, then the value of the difference between the average pre-test and post-test experimental class I and experiment II, namely 46.87 and 44.42. Based on the difference in the mean value of the pre-test and post-test experimental class I was higher than the experimental class II. Hypothesis testing obtained a significance value of <0.05, namely 0.039. The results of the hypothesis test concluded that there were significant differences between the classes applying the cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) type and the class applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning model.
