Abstract

Techniques for 640 Gbit/s generation, demultiplexing, clock recovery, add/drop multiplexing, wavelength conversion, transmission, channel identification and timing jitter tolerant switching is described. Various switching materials are explored, such as HNLF, SOA, chalcogenide, and PPLN. © 2009 OSA.
