Abstract

The Tight Binding model is used to describe the electronic energy band structures of the monolayer and bilayer graphene. The "creation" and "annihilation" quantum operators are employed to compute the respective Hamiltonians. From this, two and four energy bands were respectively obtained. These computations are an attempt to show a unifying approach representing both cases.
