Abstract

The obesity research reached an advanced stage with the testing of genetically engineered mice. Fat tissue, adipose, found in muscle tissue, is a critical factor in heat production and lipid turnover. The research indicated that obesity might be caused by a viral infection. Also a type of protein Wnt10b acts as a fat stimulant between two molecules, known to initiate gene expression for fat formation.
