Abstract
The article discusses the Knowledge Bases and Related Tools (KBART) guidelines for knowledge bases, which are collections of metadata describing online resources such as electronic journals. Particular focus is given to the problems experienced by libraries and library users because of incorrect, inconsistent data, and to the benefits they will experience when KBART standards are implemented. Also discussed are link resolvers, OpenURL standards, and customer satisfaction.
