Abstract

A total of 77 samples from streams and rivers were found to contain populations of Tapinothrix (Pseudanabaenaceae), a genus currently confused with Homoeothrix (Oscillatoriaceae). Three species within the genus were identified: T. ozarkiana sp. nov., T. varians. and T. janthina. © Czech Phycological Society (2011).
