Based on the results and discussion of the study there was a difference between the group that was given counseling and the group that was not given counseling with p <0.001, there was a difference between the group that was given support by the husband (> 50%) and the group that was not given support by the husband (<50%) . Respondents who had been given counseling determined that the decision making for contraceptives during the postpartum period was appropriate (1.84%) It can be concluded that husband's counseling and support are very effective in increasing the decision-making of prospective acceptor contraceptives. It is recommended that health workers continue to provide counseling to each prospective acceptor to improve the quality of decision-making on contraceptives in order to choose the right contraceptive method and according to the needs of prospective acceptors.
