Abstract

Statistical tests help researchers analyze data to determine if observed differences or relationships are likely real and not just due to chance, providing a basis for making informed decisions in health research. Broadly speaking, statistical tests can be classified into two main categories: parametric tests and nonparametric tests.1 These categories are based on the assumptions and characteristics of the data being analyzed.
