Philipe Descola e a Virada Ontológica na Antropologia

Abstract

This article aims at introducing the reader to the ongoing set of anthropo-logical theories that are part of a more general philosophical movement called " ontological turn " . After performing the synthesis of some fundamental assumptions, it moves onto the main work of the French anthropologist Philippe Descola, Par-delà nature et culture, in which emerges a theoretical elaboration that combines historical and ethnographic materials with structuralist theories. In conclusion, it is argued that this model may be useful for other disciplines of the Humanities.
