Abstract

The objective of the article is the approach to the study of the methodology of the investigation applied to the Law, for this, a type of qualitative research was used, with a hermeneutical method, making a critical analysis of the national and international doctrine that has studied the subject. Among the results obtained, it was identified that the existence of a universally applied research methodology is recognized, however, recently several authors refer to a legal research methodology, based on particular typologies applied in law, according to the core characteristics and peculiarities of this science, which are analyzed and developed in this work, generating a classification based on the various categories made by the authors analyzed. In conclusion, the specific methods and typologies used in legal investigations were evidenced, in order to reconcile methodological and legal aspects applied in the field of research.
