Abstract

Sungai Penuh City is one of the centers of trade and economy in Jambi Province, and has opportunities in the development of coffee agro-industry because it is supported by the availability of raw materials, human resources. It's just that the development of Coffee agro-industry in Sungai Penuh City is still not optimal because it is still low in human resource capabilities and lack of knowledge and mastery about technology so that it ultimately has an impact on the level of efficiency of coffee agro-industry in Sungai Penuh City. This study aims for (1) Measuring the efficiency of coffee agro-industry performance in Sungai Penuh City in 2020. (2) Knowing what is a source of inefficiency for coffee agro-industry actors in Sungai Penuh City. To answer the purpose of this study, the author uses the DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) method. This method can evaluate the performance of a decision-making unit (work unit) that uses a number of inputs to obtain a targeted output. From the results of the study, three agorindustris were found that could achieve technical efficiency values with a value of 100 percent (efficient) namely the agroindustry of Putri Kembar coffee, Kincai Coffee and Nur Coffee while the agroindustry of Kopi Rindu, Kopi Gantino, Kopi Annisa and Kopi KPLPA still experienced inefficiencies during 2020. The sources that cause inefficiency from coffee agro-industry in Sungai Penuh City are due to factors of Production Capacity, BB / BP Value and Gross Profit.
