Abstract

From the simple postcard to the varied tourism experiences, there are media mechanisms, both in terms of tourism supply and demand. Travel blogs have emerged as an alternative to tourist information and require efforts in terms of organization and regulation. However, there are few references about these weblogs in Brazil as a vehicle for tourist communication, as well as regarding their practices, work routines, business models and influence with the tourist. This article aims to present the elementary theoretical-methodological framework to contemplate these data, in order to contribute with future investigations and the expansion of knowledge about this emerging universe of research. For this, we use a bibliographic review with socio-anthropological approach, covering national and foreign bases [Ibero-American and Anglo-Saxon], particularly focused on the fields of Tourism, Communication and Tourism Geography.
