Abstract

All-optical 2R regeneration of a 160-Gbit/s RZ-OOK signal is demonstrated in a fiber optical parametric amplifier using a highly nonlinear fiber with the data as pump. Bit error rate bathtub curves validate the regeneration performance. © 2012 IEEE.
