Abstract

The present article delves into the various facets of textile material applications and ergonomic design in athletic footwear, scrutinizing their kinds, characteristics, benefits, obstacles, and advancements. The sports shoe market has completely changed because of textile materials, which offer better performance, more comfort, more style, and environmentally responsible solutions. Sports shoe uppers, insoles, midsoles, and outsoles are made of a variety of textile materials, including natural, synthetic, and hybrid fabrics. Novel approaches to the production of high-performance sports shoes, like 3D printing, knitting, weaving, and nanotechnology, present promising prospects. At the same time, the research explores the scientific study of foot ergonomics, emphasizing the complex connections between human anatomy, biomechanics, and athletic shoe design. To assess amateur athletes’ foot ergonomics and minimize injury risk while increasing comfort and performance, the “Wet Foot Test” methodological insights are incorporated. Notwithstanding the advantages, problems with wear and tear, upkeep, and cost still exist. Overall, the sports shoe business has seen a considerable transformation because of the incorporation of modern textile materials and ergonomic concepts. As sustainability and technology continue to progress, we may anticipate even more exciting advancements.
