Abstract

For its dimension and duration, the Bracero Program (1942-1964) is the most relevant example of Temporary Workers Program existent until now. However, the program has been widely criticized and very little studied. This article uses materials of that period to re-evaluate the Program pros and cons in order to re-think what could be the future of a temporary worker program between Mexico and the United States. KEYWORDS: Bracero Program; Migration; Temporary Workers; Mexico; United States.
