Abstract

In the genus Penstemon from Mexico, a new section, Fasciculus, and a subsection, Fasciculi, are described. The subsection contains eleven species, of which six are new: PP. occiduus, leonensis, skutchii, filisepalis, mohinoranus, and plagapineus . Evolution in this group is discussed.
