Abstract
ABSTRACT Enhancing electrical energy efficiency is a priority in current technological development. This study designs and implements an Internet of Things (IoT)- based automation system to minimize electricity consumption for LED lighting in the Perumahan Griya Sutera Balaraja. The system utilizes an ESP8266 (NodeMCU) microcontroller integrated with an Android application and a Telegram bot for remote management. This architecture enables real- time monitoring and control, facilitating effective energy conservation. The development process encompassed hardware design and firmware programming via the Arduino IDE. Results demonstrate a significant reduction in electricity consumption by optimizing illumination schedules to eliminate unnecessary usage. Consequently, this integration offers an effective and efficient solution for residential energy management
