Abstract
Abstract. Antibiotic resistance is a global health crisis, including in Indonesia. Bacterial adaptation to antibiotics threatens the effectiveness of infection treatment, increasing morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this study was to determine the description, trends, and incidence of infectious diseases caused by bacterial resistance to Carbapenem in a Bandung Health Service Facility in the period 2019-2023. This research method is descriptive with a cross-sectional research design. The subjects of this study used 1427 bacterial culture data from various specimens and carbapenem resistance tests of patients at the Bandung Health Service Facility Laboratory during the period 2019─2023 which were taken using the total population sampling technique. The research sample was in the form of secondary data from diagnosis and antibiotic sensitivity tests. The results showed that out of 1427 samples, 504 were resistant, dominated by Staphylococcus epidermidis. The increasing trend of bacterial resistance and incidence of infection peaked in 2021 (97 and 143 cases), with respiratory tract infections showing the highest resistance. Conclusion, shows that bacterial resistance, dominated by Gram-positive, experienced an increasing trend during the period 2019-2023. Abstrak. Resistansi antibiotik merupakan krisis kesehatan global, termasuk di Indonesia. Adaptasi bakteri terhadap antibiotik mengancam efektivitas pengobatan infeksi, meningkatkan morbiditas dan mortalitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran, tren, dan insidensi penyakit infeksi yang diakibatkan resistansi bakteri terhadap Karbapenem di suatu Fasilitas Pelayanan Kesehatan Bandung pada periode 2019-2023. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian secara secara Cross sectional. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan 1427 data hasil kultur bakteri dari berbagai spesimen dan uji resistansi Karbapenem pasien di Laboratorium Fasilitas Pelayanan Kesehatan Bandung selama periode 2019─2023 yang diambil dengan teknik total population sampling, Sampel penelitian berupa data sekunder hasil diagnosis dan uji kepekaan antibiotik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 1427 sampel, 504 resistan, didominasi Staphylococcus epidermidis. Peningkatan tren resistansi bakteri dan insidensi infeksi mencapai puncaknya pada tahun 2021 (97 dan 143 kasus), dengan infeksi saluran napas menunjukkan resistansi tertinggi. Simpulan, menunjukkan bahwa resistansi bakteri, didominasi Gram positif, mengalami tren peningkatan selama periode 2019-2023.
