Abstract
In Table VI of the above paper, the values for Cytosolic glutathione S-transferase should be: mouse, 4.36; rat, 5.66; and human, 0.47. This change results in overall activation/detoxification ratios for BD of 12.5, 1.3 and 4.4 for mice, rats and humans respectively. The general conclusions reported in the paper remain unchanged. These revised ratios suggest that at concentrations below the Km for the reactions a comparison of the ratio of activation/detoxication across species indicates that mice >>> humans > rats. © 1993 Oxford University Press.
