The quality of the water needs to be continuously evaluated to maintain a safe supply of drinking water. For this goal, a novel strategy based on water quality monitoring system using IoT has been put forth. In this paper, we propose the design of a real-time water quality monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. In this developed system consists of sensors that track many aspects of water quality, including pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature. The microcontroller processes the sensor-measured quantities and sends the transformed values to the cloud. Finally, using cloud computing, sensors data can be viewed on an internet browser application. These sensors are installed on an autonomous watercraft. The boat is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor that detects any movement.
