Objective: to identify mechanisms of deformation of the affective-emotional system and its relation with the components of care in children of 7 and 8 years of age. Method: we used the Neuropsychological Temperament Attention Scanning Service (Sarria, 2010) and the Test of Caras (Thurstone y Yela, 2012) to measure the attentive disorders, and the evaluation protocol of healthy child control registered by HNERM Pediatricians. The design is correlational descriptive of the affective-emotional processes and attention deficits associated. Results: the mother-infant interaction in the first stage of life has significant influence on the formation or deformation of the affective-emotional system and this may determine subsequent rates of ADHD. There is a direct correlation between positive emotional development and optimal level of selective attention. Conclusions: there is a direct correlation between unfavorable emotional attention and lacking level of resulting selective development. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
