Abstract
In this section, the use of digoxin is discussed. Despite evidence from controlled trials supporting its value, the use of digoxin remains controversial. The withdrawal of digoxin carries considerable risk for patients with chronic heart failure and impaired systolic function who have remained clinically stable while receiving digoxin and angiotensin- converting-enzyme inhibitors.
