Abstract

Semiconducting ZnO nanostructured films on fluorine doped tin oxide coated glass with good crystallographic properties were prepared via electrodeposition at room temperature in a zinc nitrate electroplating bath for three current densities, i, (50 <160 ?Acm?2). The morphology and crystallography of the films depended on the electroplating current density. The morphology of the films ranged from flower to fuzzy-spherical structures and the overall diameter of these was of the micron scale. The as grown films demonstrated preferential growth of the (002) plane. © 2013 The Electrochemical Society.
