Abstract
The structures of the products obtained by the reaction of o-phenylenediamine and two isomeric chalcones have been identified as 1,5-benzodiazepines. A 1H, 13C and 15N NMR study in solution combined with B3LYP/6-31G** calculations allowed to determine the conformations present in solution. ©ARKAT.
