Abstract
Currently, the process of value co-creation in collaborative economies in tourism is a recent topic; consequently, the objective of this study is to identify and describe the main trends in the matter that point to a change in consumer behavior and preferences. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology has been used. Design is a state of the art. The sampling was non-probabilistic and involved the review of 35 JCR articles from the last five years. The results show the importance of satisfaction, loyalty, and trust as concepts of the collaborative economy that are related to the perception of tourists. While among the most mentioned factors that modify the usual preference of tourist consumers in collaborative economy schemes were security, privacy, reliability, and non-deception. It is concluded that the conceptual relationships found in the analysis, as well as the methodological approaches for the study of the topic, predict a growing increase in academic interest in it, while its understanding and transfer suggests innovation, continuous improvement, and competitive advantage for companies, of hospitality in the collaborative economy.
