Abstract

Kawasakidiseaseisafebrile,acuteandmultisystemicvasculitis thatmainlyaffectschildrenunder5yearsofage.Wedescribethe clinicalcharacteristics,evolutionandtherapeuticconsiderations inapatientwithadiagnosisofcompleteKawasakidiseasewith severemultisystemmanifestations,amongwhichstandsoutthe macrophageactivationsyndrome,whichrepresentsanunusual and potentially life-threatening complication of the illness.
