Abstract

This article discusses the shortcomings in the current state of townhouse architecture. The main issues mentioned include: architectural form - urban environment - spatial structure - microclimate organization - greenery. It is necessary to have solutions to design townhouses to replace the waste of space and not ensure the comfort of most types of townhouses today. The process of urbanization has reduced green spaces in the city, so the need for green spaces in houses to be able to combine with other spaces such as parking space, common space ... solutions bringing natural light ventilation into urban townhouses and solutions to organize the prevention and mitigation of the environmental impacts and response to climate change on urban housing. The research on this topic aims to find solutions to solving problems in architectural design for townhouses in large cities in Vietnam.
