Abstract

Background: BPJS Health has a target to achieve Universal Health Coverage in 2019 but there are still many residents in Bumiayu District Malang City who have not participated in the JKN program. To determine the factors that influence community participation in the JKN program in Kelurahan Bumiayu Malang City. Subjects and Method: This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional approach. The sample of this research are 100 samples. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi square test. Results: Variable level of education (p = 0.030), knowledge (p = <0,001), JKN perception (p = <0,001), motivation (p = <0,001), and intention (p = 0.032), had an effect on JKN participation. Conclusion: The public perception was the most dominant factor related to the JKN program membership in Bumiayu, Malang City.
