Abstract

The article reports a comparison on the four medical electronic books (eBooks) including AccessMedicine, MDConsult from, Books@Ovid and STAT!Ref in the U.S. A table is presented which provides the result of the comparisons considering search, browse, and nagivation features of each eBook. It was inferred that the scanning of images was common from among the four eBooks as well as offer hyperlinked footnotes for easier accessibility of information. Furthermore, it reveals that the eBooks utilized the Unified Medical Language by the National Library of Medicine where the index terms narrows the searchability of information.
