Abstract
The Altai-Sayan mountainous country is the highest elevation among the mountain countries of Northern Asia. Altai in terms of the species number is three times richer than Western Siberia. The biological diversity of the Altai-Sayan ecological region (ASER) has been explored by scientists of the Altai State University (Barnaul) for more than 30 years. Since 2008, the process of developing and creating a set of open access databases of the ASER biological diversity on the Internet has been launched. The article provides information on the most popular databases. In 2017 the process of promulgation and creation of datasets based on GBIF was started.
