Abstract

(Figure Presented) The incorporation of a single gold nanoparticle into a rationally designed DNA nanostructure and the use of the nanoparticle-bearing DNA nanostructure for the templated self-assembly of periodical nanoparticle arrays is presented. This approach allows the opportunity to control the interparticle spacings and hierarchical architectures of nanoparticles. © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
