Abstract
Incoherent power combining system is a promising technique for enhancing the output power level of narrow-band high-power microwave devices, and waveguide-based combiner usually has the virtues of high transmission efficiency, proper bandwidth and high power-handling capacity within a compact structure. A specific cross-junction combiner is proposed for combining the S/S band microwave beams, and the detailed simulation and experimental results are presented. The investigations show that the combiner realises integration of GW level power combination and mode conversion from two microwave sources simultaneously.
