Abstract

The restrictions applied to the use of public space as a measure to reduce the contagion and spread of COVID-19, and the strict quarantines decreed in the city of Bogotá have transformed people’s public life, and it is possible that their relationship with public space For this reason, it is important to highlight and analyze these changes, in order to diagnose the current situation and implement new guidelines in urban planning and the design of cities in a post-COVID world. The main source of information was the survey conducted between October 2020 and June 2021 by the Public Space Observatory of DADEP in the 20 localities of Bogotá as urban planning units, and the Citizen Culture survey about the Coronavirus, crisis carried out by the SDCRD. The methodological basis is established to glimpse the relationship of citizens with outer space before and after the strict quarantine applied by the national and district governments, taking into account that the survey was applied before the high rate period of vaccinated in Colombia.
