Abstract
This article examines the representation of models of masculinity in Transition's Spanish Cinema in order to understand the values associated with the Spanish man's identity at that time, that historical period, and contemporary representations of men in modern Spanish Cinema. Through analysis of the characters played by actor José Sacristán in three movies between 1977 and 1982, we'll see how the image of Spanish man evolves due to the deep cultural, political and social changes produced in that context.
