Abstract

Augmented intelligence (AI), also known as intelligence augmentation (IA) or cognitive augmentation, is next level artificial intelligence. Augmented intelligence refers to the synergistic technology of humans and computers. This paper compares Augmented Intelligence with Artificial Intelligence, and describes its applications including sales, business, healthcare, military, decision-making, remote assistance and logistics. The article further describes the benefits and challenges associated with AI. In the foreseeable future, AI will be augmenting our capabilities, allowing us to do more in less amount of time. 9
