Abstract
The Late Jurassic lithographic limestones of southern Germany have yielded some of the most beautiful and scientifically important fossils in the world. The limestones, termed Plattenkalks which translates to flat chalks, are representative of a ‘textbook’ and widely studied example of a Konservate-Lagerstätten.
