Abstract

The contemporary workplaces have been encountering withsubstantial number of conflicts among the colleagues resulting infading relationships and loss of work productivity. Besides, thesubtle conflicts characterized by lack of empathy or selfishmotive among the colleagues result in low commitment towards thework. In this regard, the corporate sectors have identifiedtraining programs on Emotional Intelligence and empathy trainingas an intervention. In this paper, the researcher incorporatesEmotional intelligence and Conflict Management Styles as theimportant variables in studying the conflicting nature of thesubjects that were under observation. The researcher hypothesizesthat an intervention program on emotional intelligence andempathy may reduce the frequency of conflicts among the subjects.Further, the researcher designed the intervention program for theexperiment group and the control group was kept underobservation. As hypothesized, the experiment group showed aremarkable progress after the intervention program compared tothe control group. Besides, the assessment tools for EmotionalIntelligence and Conflict management styles were incorporated inthis research.
