The purpose of this study is to examine expectations and perceived needs of students of the Management Sciences Department at MTI Metropolitan Technology Institute towards the creation and implementation of a technology management laboratory. The methodological design of this laboratory is exploratory and cross curricular-type. It is carried on through a quantitative methodology, applied through printed surveys to 217 students of Management and Technology Management of MTI. Amongst the main results, the study shows student's low knowledge of the use of software on the management field and their high motivation to acquire knowledge in the fields of Information and Communications Technology, those oriented to support managerial and administrative processes.
