A Study on the Trends and Innovation Potential of Taiwan's Green Energy Technology Industry: A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

This study analyzes Taiwan’s Green Energy Technology Industry (GETI) development trends using bibliometric analysis of green energy master’s and doctoral theses from the National Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations in Taiwan (NDLTD) between 2013 and 2023. Using VOSviewer for visualization, the research focus shifted from early green energy technologies to green finance and ESG applications. Key topics include green energy industry analysis, renewable energy, and event studies. Despite challenges like global competition and policy uncertainty, rising demand for sustainability offers growth opportunities for Taiwan’s GETI, supporting innovation and enhancing global competitiveness.
