Abstract
Hypertension is a disease with a high prevalence in the world. WHO, 2015 said that 1.13 billion people worldwide suffer from hypertension and only 36.8% of them take hypertension medication. It is also estimated that every year there are 9.4 million people die due to hypertension and complications (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2018). Based on data from the health profile of the city of Tangerang in 2015 hypertension is the second highest disease in the ten biggest diseases in all Tangerang City Health Centers with 53,708 people with hypertension or 6.10%. Compliance with hypertension medication is one of the precautions that must be considered for hypertensive patients. Daily pillbox is one of the tools that can be used to improve adherence for hypertensive patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of daily pillboxes on adherence to consuming hypertension medication. This study uses the One-Group Pretest-Posttes Design research method to compare the conditions before being given a medicine box and after being given a nutrient box, data collected using a questionnaire sheet measurement tool.
