Abstract

The computer has become more and more important in children' life and learning. Various issues exist in the application of multimedia edutainment software and courseware. Therefore, we analyze the current situation and requirement of preschool education software, and present the development of pen-based teaching system for children. Lecturing courseware, annotation, adding contents have been provided, which make targeted classroom teaching convenient, and children interactive courseware function has also been provided to arouse their learning initiative and enthusiasm. After analyzing the feedback, we design and develop the improved version of the system, and evaluate the two versions through experiments. Finally, we propose some suggestions for its modification. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
