Abstract

The guarantees of resocialization of the sentence must be covered by the use of new information and communication technologies, so that criminal legal subjection can be complied with within a Social State of Law. The main objective of this research is to determine the scope of information and communication technologies in the processes of resocialization of the sentence, which could be made known through a qualitative approach with an inductive method, which through a A detailed documentary review allowed us to obtain as a main result that information and communication technologies are pertinent tools for achieving the resocialization of the sentence, through an approach to education, work, family contact and both judicial and judicial care. penitentiary and prison, from which access to sentence execution hearings can be facilitated for the inmate population, telematic transmission of these, claims for redemption of sentence, document management for downloading digital certificates, among others. In conclusion, it is pertinent to incorporate artificial intelligence in the Colombian prison system.
