Abstract

The analysis of systematically collected samples of glacial till can help to identify dispersal trains which can be traced up-ice to their source. The background to drift prospecting is reviewed; the many factors that must be taken into account in order to find the source both of resistate minerals and trace elements found in glacial deposits are discussed, with examples from Labrador.-R.A.H.
