Abstract

Population aging is a reality being faced globally, and Brazil is no different. Osteoporosis was considered a post-menopausal women’s disease for many years. Men have many development and hormonal factors that differentiate skeletal maturation, affecting the incidence of osteoporosis and fractures. The au- thor presents a comprehensive review of the specific references updated within the Medline System.
