Efisiensi bank pembiayaan rakyat syariah (BPRS) di provinsi Jawa Tengah

Abstract

This study analyzes the efficiency of BPRS in Central Java Province using DEA approach from 2012-2016. The object of this research is BPRS in Central Java Province consisting of 26 BPRS. This research uses secondary data derived from the financial statements of BPRS in the period of 2012-2016 which can be found from Bank Indonesia and OJK. This research is a quantitative research using non-parametric Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results of this study indicate that from the analysis of BPRS efficiency annually, it can be seen that there are 5 BPRS which can perform efficiently for 5 years in a row, either in CCR or BCC model. Whereas from 26 BPRS in Central Java, there are about 21 BPRS which are inefficient either in solely one year or the whole five years. In addition to that, this study found that the cause of inefficiency in BPRS in Central Java is the use of input variables which is not at its maximum. Abstrak
