Abstract

The present study was conducted to determine the prevalence of canine brucellosis in dogs the Neighborhood Primavera of the Conception City, for effect were subjected to study 52 serum samples obtained from adult dogs regardless of race, where they were analyzed by immunochromatographic test to Brucella canis. The results indicate 9.6% positive, all of mixed race of 2 to 4 years of age. RESUMEN. El presente estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la Seroprevalencia de Brucelosis canina en perras de la Ciudad de Concepción; para el efecto fueron sometidas a estudio 52 muestras de suero sanguíneo de perras adultas sin distinción de raza, las cuales fueron analizadas mediante el Test inmunocromatográfico a Brucella canis. Los resultados indican 9,6% de positivos, todas de raza mestiza de 2 a 4 años de edad.
