Abstract
Small businesses represent a consistent part of economies in general and their results can be improved by using marketing tools and channels efficiently and profitably. The paper aims to underline the importance of social media and social media marketing for small businesses as an effective and low-cost way to improve their overall performance. For this purpose, systematic research and analysis were performed using literature sources, studies, and online information.
